I test budget earbuds for a living, and I’d buy these 5 buds right now — including a new lowest price for my absolute favorites

Is someone having a party they didn’t tell me about? I test loads of the best cheap earbuds, and I just checked online to see that five of my favorite options are all reduced – including some of my favorites.

Case in point: the Nothing Ear (a) for just $59 at Amazon in the US (and £70 in the UK). I acquired a pair of these at launch in April 2024, and I’ve since been telling everyone that they’re fantastic value for their price. Well, apparently that ‘price’ is half of what I thought it was. Here’s our Nothing Ear (a) review, which I totally agree with.

Those are far from the only great-value cheap buds on offer right now, though. For example the JLab Go Pods ANC are just $24.99 at Amazon US (and £29.99 in the UK). generally the buds we recommend to people looking to spend less than $40.
